Lizzy is a person of action who dives headfirst into new experiences to 'unlearn' societal shame. Her bold determination is often tripped up by her clumsy charm and a touch of naivety. The Kinky Karrot comic is the result of a close creative collaboration, combining visual storytelling and narrative development. While the script was written by Yann Krehl, the story, characters and overall direction were shaped in ongoing exchange.
Marie Sann
is the creator of Kinky Karrot, illustrator of the comic and the driving creative force behind its world and characters. She developed the core concept, shapes the storylines and directs the artistic and narrative vision, ensuring the comic reflects the project’s distinctive tone and values.
Yann Krehl
writes the script for the comic, shaping the story and translating it into dialogue and structure. With a keen sense of pacing, character voice and humor, he brings clarity and depth to Lizzy’s journey.

How many Kinky Karrot Graphic Novels exist?
So far, one book has been published that covers Lizzy’s first steps in her sexual self-discovery. It’s available in several languages, which is why the title and sometimes the cover design vary.

The English edition of the comic, *Off the Beaten Path*, is now officially available.
This release took significantly longer than originally expected due to delays on the publishing side, which were unfortunately outside of our control. Thank you to everyone who has been patient throughout this process, it truly means a lot.

Are the comics explicit?
On social media we keep it platform-conform but the books do contain explicit moments.
However, these scenes are never included for shock value or detached stimulation.
They are woven into the narrative with intention and always serve the development of the story and the characters.
Every Kinky Karrot graphic novel integrates elements of sex education — whether through communication, consent, anatomy, emotional reflection or power dynamics. Intimate scenes are contextual, negotiated and grounded in the characters’ journeys.
The purpose is not pornography.
At the same time, the stories do not deny that intimacy can be arousing. Some readers may experience certain scenes as stimulating — but that stimulation is a byproduct of emotional engagement, not the primary goal.
