Kinky Karrot Pitch in Berlin:
Taking the Next Step at Venture Café
Last week marked an important milestone for Kinky Karrot: I presented the project publicly for the first time at a business event in Berlin.
The pitch took place at Venture Café during the SX Tech conference — an environment shaped by founders, creatives, and investors. Bringing Kinky Karrot into this space felt like a natural next step as the project continues to grow and expand beyond its creative foundation.
From Creative Foundation to Public Visibility
Kinky Karrot has evolved into a multi-layered creative project, combining storytelling, character design, and a growing narrative universe around figures like Lizzy.
As the project develops further, opening it up to a broader, business-oriented audience becomes essential. This was not about starting something new, but about making an existing vision more visible and creating new opportunities for its next stage.
The Next Phase for Kinky Karrot
At this stage, Kinky Karrot is no longer just about creating new content — it’s about expanding the project in a more structured and scalable way.
The pitch was driven by a clear intention:
to connect with potential partners and investors who can support the next phase of growth.
Up until now, the project has been developed independently. While this allowed for a strong and authentic creative foundation, it also comes with natural limitations in terms of scale and speed.
Opening up to collaboration is therefore not a compromise, but a deliberate step to unlock new possibilities.
Stepping Outside My Comfort Zone
Presenting on stage (and doing so in English) pushed me far outside my comfort zone.
As someone who naturally feels at home in the creative process, stepping into a more public and business-driven role requires a different kind of presence. It’s something I’m actively learning and growing into.
At the same time, this experience reinforced something important:
creative projects deserve space in these environments – not as an exception, but as a natural part of them.
And the many positive reactions made me realize how refreshing a project created unconventionally through an artist’s lens was received.
From Independent Creation to Strategic Growth
Kinky Karrot is evolving into a broader creative brand — one that can extend beyond individual artworks or formats into more immersive and impactful experiences.
This includes exploring new ways of combining storytelling, design, and interactive elements, while maintaining the core identity of the project.
Rather than focusing on a single product or format, the goal is to build something that can grow sustainably and reach a wider audience.
Why This Matters
This shift changes how the project is positioned.
It moves Kinky Karrot from a primarily self-driven creative process into a phase where collaboration, structure, and strategic decisions become essential.
The pitch at Venture Café was the first step in making that transition visible.
If you’re working in a space where you see potential for collaboration, whether as a partner, investor, or creative contributor, I’d love to hear from you.
Kinky Karrot is entering a new phase, and I’m currently open to conversations that can help shape what comes next.
